Technical Requirements

Students need particular hardware and software to successfully participate in our online programs. The sections below list minimum computer hardware, software, and computer skills. Please note that these are minimum requirements, and that our online courses will work more effectively with higher capabilities.

 

Operating System Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7; Mac OS X 10.3 or higher (10.4 or higher recommended)
Processor 1 GHz or higher
Memory 512 MB of RAM
Hard Drive Space 2GB free disk space
Browser Current version of Firefox, Internet Explorer recommended

Adobe Reader [Download from Adobe], Flash Player (v7.0 or later) [Download from Adobe], QuickTime Player, and Windows Media Player.

Most up to date version of  Java,  www.java.com. Wimba and Collaborate won't work unless Java is installed.
Additional Software Microsoft Office (2003 or later)
