Thoughts on SOM
I am a graduate of West Chester University and when I was asked to return as a faculty member I was overjoyed. The school has a tradition of excellence and I look forward to carrying out that tradition everyday and in every way. Our students are bright and ambitious. Observing aspiring musicians excelling in performance and future teachers mastering the techniques and communication skills to practice their craft is my personal inspiration.
Mission at SOM
My personal mission for the School of Music includes three educational goals: 1) to develop a student's need and desire for life-long learning, 2) to encourage each student to become the best musician and person they can be, and 3) to be the best role model I can be. I am convinced we model behavior, teaching techniques, and excellence based on what we experience. To that end, I need to provide our students with performance opportunities, rehearsals, and other experiences that motivate each student to reach their true potential.
