Igor Resnianski received his formal music degrees in Russia graduating with distinctions from Novosibirsk Music College under Professor Elena Storojuk, in 1986 and Novosibirsk State Conservatorium under Professor Mary Lebenzon, in 1993. In 1995 he continued his studies in the United States completing his Artist Diploma under Professor Tamás Ungár at Texas Christian University. In addition, he also studied as a full scholarship student at the Van Cliburn International Summer Piano Institute, where he was under the tutelage of distinguished musicians Paul Badura-Skoda, John Lill, Fanny Waterman, and Gyorgy Sebok. Currently Mr. Resnianski is working on his Doctoral degree at Temple University in Philadelphia under Professor Harvey Wedeen.

Mr. Resnianski is a prizewinner of many piano competitions including the First Prize of the New Orleans International Piano Competition, 1996, the Bronze Medal of the International World Piano Competition, Cincinnati, Ohio in 1996. The Bronze Medal of the Nena Wideman International Piano Competition, Shreveport, Louisiana in 1995, the Fifth prize of the First China International Piano Competition, 1994 in Beijing, and the Second Prize of the All Russian Piano Competition ”Sodrujestvo” in 1991.

Prior moving to the United States in 1995, he was full time Professor at the Novosibirsk Music College as well as an Assistant Professor at the Novosibirsk Music Conservatory. His performance career during that time took him around the country. Mr. Resnianski performed in numerous philharmonic halls as a solo artist, soloist with orchestras, and a chamber musician. He appeared many times in the famed halls of Moscow and St. Petersburg including the historic Glinka Philharmonic Hall in St. Petersburg where he performed with violinist Ilya Konovalov, who is now a concertmaster of Israel Philharmonic. Also, Mr. Resnianski recorded two CDs with Ilya Konovalov for the St. Petersburg Recording Company and Sony Entertainmant.

In June 1996, Mr. Resnianski made his concerto debut in America performing with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra under conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson and in South America performing a solo recital at the Medellin International Festival, Colombia. Since then he performed with New Orleans and Acadiana Symphony Orchestras, LA; gave solo recitals in Fort Worth and Arlington, TX; New Orleans and Lafayette, LA; Cincinnati, OH and Palm Beach, FL; Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ; Santa Clara, CA and West Chester, PA. His performances were televised and broadcasted in New Orleans, Palm Beach , and Cincinnati.

Mr. Resnianski was presented in Master Classes in New Orleans , LA ; Lafayette , LA ; Santa Clara , CA ; Camden , NJ ; West Chester , PA ; Medellin Colombia . For many years, he served as a faculty and guest artist at the TCU/ Cliburn Piano Institute Fort Worth, Texas. Since 2006 he is on the faculty of Piano Texas International Academy and Festival in Fort Worth. In January 2007 Mr. Resnianski taught Master-Classes at the Samuel Barber International Festival at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He gives lectures at Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey during the Mozart summer course. He was appointed as an Artist Associate of the Music Department at Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey in the fall of 2001.

In addition Mr. Resnianski teaches at the Nelly Berman School of Music in Haverford, PA, where he raises many young talented performers. His students were featured in various radio programs including “From the top” and are winners of numerous local, national, and International piano competitions. Among them are the Annual Piano Competition at West Chester University, World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, Tricounty Competition, TCU-Cliburn Piano Institute Concerto Competition, Ambler Symphony Orchestra Competition, Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra Competition, Old York Road Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, International Festival for Gifted Young Virtuosos sponsored by the Russian-American Music Association, Golden Key Music Festival, and Alberti International Piano Competition. They performed in various performance venues in the United States and abroad including Wail Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall at Elaine Kaufman Cultural Center, New York, and Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, Philadelphia. Also, they appeared with Fort Worth Chamber Orchestra, Kennet Square Symphony, Lansdowne Symphony, Ambler, and York Symphony Orchestras.

Mr. Resnianski is a member of the Music Teachers National Association. He serves as a jury member in many local, state, and international piano competitions and festivals. Among them are Annual Piano Competition at West Chester University and Golden Key Music Festival. In the summer 2007 Mr. Resnianski was invited by the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans to judge 19th New Orleans International Piano Competition and give master classes during the New Orleans Piano Institute.
