Kudos to Facilities

Each morning when I walk to my office in the Philips Building or around the North campus area, I’m grateful for the folks in our facilities department. While it’s nice to be able to stay off the roads on the slippery snowy mornings we’ve had a lot of lately, it’s obvious that the facilities people are hard at work on campus, clearing the snow & ice. There may be people who have complaints, but from my perspective, while many of us are at home waiting for the plows and salt trucks to make the roads safe for travel, the facilities people are here on campus shoveling, plowing, and salting. So to all of the grounds, custodial, and other workers in the facilities department, thank you so much for all that you do to make the WCU campus safe for all of us.

Caregivers Support Group
“Do you find yourself trying to manage your life as well as your parents? Please join the WCU’s Caregivers Support Group (and bring your lunch) for their monthly “Chat and Chew” on Tuesday, March 1st from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Philips Lower Level Conference Room.  RSVP Joyce Holste (jholste@wcupa.edu) or Becky Hook (rhook@wcupa.edu) and encourage all you know who may desire support in this stage of their life.”

A representative from Willow Tree Hospice in West Grove, PA (www.willowtreehospice.com) will be coming to speak about what hospice is and what "end of life care" means.
