The Philadelphia Multi-University center currently offers an array of educational programs and degree options from multiple PASSHE universities in one convenient Center City location. The center serves adults living and working in the Philadelphia metro area providing an affordable and convenient resource for completing post-secondary credentials, pursuing graduate degrees and/or seeking further education.

"As the public university system in the Commonwealth, we are guided by the dual goals of providing high quality educational experiences at the most affordable cost. We're thrilled to be able to reintroduce our currently offered programs in our newly redesigned state-of-the-art center, which provides adult students in the Philadelphia region a convenient, affordable way to complete their degrees," said Acting PASSHE Chancellor, Dr. Peter H. Garland.

Three of PASSHE's 14 universities - Cheyney, East Stroudsburg and West Chester - offer 11 undergraduate degree completion and graduate programs at the center. Areas of study include degree completions in business administration and public health and graduate programs in special education and public administration. The center will expand its program offerings in Fall 2013 with a fourth partner school, Millersville University. PMUC plans to partner with additional PASSHE universities in the future to provide even more degree options for local students.

"I applaud PASSHE for their continuing commitment to Philadelphia," said Mayor Nutter. "PASSHE's presence in Center City provides convenient access to those who live and work here, but who haven't had the opportunity to earn the degrees that will make them more valuable members of their workplaces or attractive candidates to prospective employers."

Also joining in today's unveiling was Fran Bogle, regional sales director for Dell Inc. (Dell). Bogle announced that the company was donating six new computer devices, the XPS 12 Ultrabook, to attract and incentivize new students to the Philadelphia Multi-University Center. The first awards will be made for the Fall 2013 semester.
