The Institute for Educational Excellence and Entrepreneurship (3E Institute) is an outreach initiative of the College of Education that works collaboratively with WCU faculty and students, K-12 educators and schools, business and industry, organizations and the community. The Institute identifies, supports, and mentors entrepreneurial educators who collaborate with colleagues, parents, businesses, and the community to meet the educational needs of all students.

Entrepreneurial Educators:

  • Inspire, innovate, collaborate, and connect to the world
  • Are positive change agents, oriented to opportunity and to the future
  • Model and teach 21st century skills - critical thinking, communication, teamwork and continuous assessment of learning
  • Use experiential, problem-based and project-based learning, as well as lessons richly infused with technology
  • Grow in their profession as lifelong learners and leaders
  • Inspire students to be entrepreneurial thinkers and doers
