Current Research:

Dr. Gedge has done research in Women; Religion; Cultural History; American Material Culture (quilts); and Religion and Education.

Brief Biography:

Dr. Gedge grew up in Milwaukee, WI, but has lived in Boston, MA, Rochester, NY, Fairfield, CT, Cleveland, OH, and Baltimore, MD before making West Chester her home. She attended Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL, for her B.A. in History and Education, SUNY College at Brockport for her M.A. in History, and Yale University for her Ph.D. in American Studies. Her husband, two sons, and three granddaughters live in the area now.
