Graduates with a degree in criminal justice have the academic credentials necessary for almost any position in the criminal justice system with the exception of positions that require a law degree. Almost all federal agencies require at least a Bachelor's Degree for entry level positions. In addition, many state and local law enforcement agencies are now requiring a Bachelor's Degree, as do most positions in treatment and corrections. Graduates of the program have a solid foundation for postgraduate education in criminal justice, social sciences, or law. Criminal justice is a multidisciplinary field. Students may choose from a variety of career paths, including (but not limited to): law enforcement, law, research, treatment, corrections, and private enterprise (investigation, security, etc.) The following provide some of the positions suitable for a criminal justice graduate: |
