Departmental Life: Events

The faculty of the Department of Criminal Justice take part in not only events sponsored by professional organizations (national conferences, seminars, symposiums, etc.), but in University and student events as well. Whether it is a special topics presentation at the annual Academic Festival, or participating in University symposia, the faculty are well-represented.

The Department also participates in the annual Student Recognition Event held each spring by the School of Business and Public Affairs. At that luncheon, the Department honors our outstanding Junior, Senior and Graduate Students each year. These students are selected by the Department faculty for their scholastic excellence and overall achievements. In addition, the Department honors the recipients of the two Criminal Justice Scholarships we award every year. These scholarships are the Jesse Silvano Scholarship, and the Chief Robert Valyo Scholarship.

We are proud of our honor students in the field, and tailor our academic events to celebrate their achievements.
