Academics: Minor in Finance

We offer a Minor in Finance program to students majoring in other disciplines but desire some financial literacy, especially in the fields of Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Investments, and International Finance. The key learning objectives for the student desiring a Minor in Finance are the development of communication skills, problem solving skills, technological skills and an understanding of theoretical concepts in Finance.

In order to achieve these learning objectives, the Minor in Finance program requires the completion of 15 credits of prerequisite courses and 12 credits of Economics core and elective courses.

It is possible to complete the requirements for the major during the four year period of undergraduate study. Students are therefore advised to contact their advisors as quickly as possible for guidance.
