As part of efforts to push the frontier of knowledge in Economics and Finance, Economics and Finance department faculty members actively participates in the Pennsylvania Economics Association (PEA). Accordingly, WCU Economics and Finance department faculty members submit, present and peer-review papers for PEA conferences.

These conferences take place at annual meetings of the PEA, and have attracted economists from not only Pennsylvania and the surrounding states of Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Ohio and West Virginia, but also from other countries including Japan, Austria, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Mexico, India, France, and Taiwan.

West Chester University hosted the last PEA during the late spring of 2003. Research papers were presented and critiqued at this conference.
