Commencement Information


Monday, December 21, 2009

Graduate should report to the Ehringer Gymnasium by 5:50 pm.


CAPS, GOWNS, & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Caps, gowns, and announcements will be distributed in the Sykes Bookstore from

December 1-18.

M- Th 8am - 6 pm, F 8 am - 4 pm, Sat 11 am - 3 pm

Last day for distribution is Friday, December 18 at 2 pm

Order cap and gown

  DIPLOMAS
During the ceremony, only diploma covers will be distributed. The official diploma will be mailed to all graduates who have completed the requirements for their degrees. They will be mailed following posting of grades and verification of graduation requirements.   Please allow 45 days.
If there are any outstanding issues that will prevent you from graduating, the Office of Graduate Studies will notify you by mail.

PARKING

Students and their guests are strongly encouraged to park in the Sharpless Street parking garage or use available street parking.


SEATING
Guests should be seated 45 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. No tickets are required.
Seats have been set aside for people with disabilities in need of special seating.  Those requiring special seating should check in with an usher when they arrive.


PHOTOGRAPHS
During the ceremony, guests may take photographs only from their seats. A professional photography studio will take pictures of each graduate as he or she receives the diploma cover. The studio will contact each participant directly within one month after the ceremony with an opportunity to purchase pictures. You are under no obligation to purchase anything. After the ceremony (when the platform party and faculty have left the area), guests are welcome to come to the stage to take photographs of their graduates.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments will be available before the ceremony for graduates, at 5:50 pm, in Ehinger Gymnasium.
