  Hours of Operation: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
 
  Emergencies:
    o Call Work Control at x2444 during hours of operation.  
    o After hours and weekends report emergencies to Public Safety at x3311.  
 

  Work Control acts as the primary customer service representative and customer single point of contact for all building maintenance services.  
 
  Work Control tasks include:  
    o Acts as liaison between the customer and appropriate Facilities personnel for all repair services.  
    o Assists building occupants in processing requests for repair services..  
    o Aids in distinguishing between institutional non-chargeable work and departmental chargeable work.  
    o Monitors customer satisfaction and responds to concerns and issues.  
    o Trains and assists designated departmental staff in utilizing the iServiceDesk on-line computerized work request system.  
    o Accepts submitted Work Requests and transforms them into Work Orders assigned to specific shops.  
    o Responds immediately to emergency situations to dispatch appropriate shop technicians to the scene.
