All Students

You must reapply for financial aid every year by the March 1st priority deadline.

The aid offered to you is based on the information you submitted on your FAFSA. Your aid may change as a result of the corrections you make or corrections we make as part of the Verification process.

There are requirements for your Title IV - Federal aid as well as for your state aid you must meet to keep your financial aid from year to year. It's important that you understand these requirements and meet them.

Title IV funds are awarded to a student under the assumption that the student will attend school for the entire period for which the assistance is awarded. When a student withdraws, the student may no longer be eligible for the full amount of Title IV funds that the student was originally scheduled to receive. All students are required to meet the satisfactory degree status requirements. Read more...

Types of Aid

The financial aid in your package may contain different types of aid from different sources of funding. Understanding the types of aid you have may help you to decide which aid to accept or decline.

  • Grants and scholarships do not require repayment.
  • Loans require repayment. If you have a student loan in your aid package, you have the right to reduce or decline the loan that you have been offered. You may do this via myWCU.
  • Employment requires fulfilling your Federal Work Study contract to receive these funds. You will be paid for the hours worked.
  • Parent and Private Loans are credit worthy loans. Watch a video on this subject at Financial Aid TV image of video camera
