Jesenia Gonzalez

JeseniaGonzalez My name is Jesenia Gonzalez. I am a junior. I’m majoring in environmental health. I am from Berks County, in Pennsylvania. I graduated from Conrad Weiser High School in 2010. My birthday is May 28. I’m 20 years old. I am a server and bartender at Red Lobster. My family is from Puerto Rico; I am the first of my family to attend college so this is a big stepping stone for me. This is my second year mentoring. I decided to be a mentor because my freshman year mentor at WCU was a great help in my transition to college and therefore I wanted to give back to the University by doing the same to incoming freshman. My favorite thing about being a mentor is getting to know different people from all over and connecting with their backgrounds and stories. The best thing to me about being a mentor is hearing people I help out tell me their success stories because I love to hear people going places with their lives. When I graduate I hope to attend medical school and live in a big city.
