Favorite Service Project: Favorite Service Project: I have 2 favorite service projects that I have participated in. The first is Samaritan Purse’s Operation Christmas Child which I take part in every year at my church, Andalusia Baptist Church. This service project involves filling shoe boxes with necessities and toys that get sent to children around the world during Christmas time. My second favorite service project is World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine. I have participated in this twice. It involves going on a hunger strike for 30 hours to feel the pain of starving that many people around the world feel on a daily basis.

Interesting Fact: In fifth grade I broke both of my wrists at the same time!

Favorite Service Project: During my junior and senior years of high school, I travelled to New Orleans with a group from Habitat for Humanity. There we helped with the relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina. Both years I was there, my group worked on houses in the mold remediation stages. It was laborious, but inspiring at the same time. We were fortunate enough to meet a lot of great people and hear their stories.

Interesting Fact: When I was in first grade, my hair and face caught on fire in church while lighting candles after Sunday school.
