Daffodil Days American Cancer Society logo.

“Daffodil Days is about more than just giving beautiful flowers — it’s about everyone’s opportunity to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.”

Daffodil Days is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and supports persons living with cancer. By sending bunches of daffodils to friends, family members, and people touched by cancer, you are sharing a message of hope and raising funds and awareness to help defeat cancer. The money that is raised at WCU is used by the American Cancer Society to support cancer patients in our community through the following programs: Financial Assistance, Road to Recovery, Look Good…Feel Better, Reach to Recovery, Man to Man, Camps (childhood cancer patients and siblings), and Homemaker Grants.

Flowers

During Daffodil Days, the Office of Service-Learning and Volunteer Programs collaborates with many faculty, staff, and students to take orders for daffodils, making this symbol of hope available campus wide. The daffodils are then delivered by the Office of Service-Learning and Volunteer Programs in March.
