  • WCU volunteers worked with the American Red Cross to set up an emergency shelter at WCU to assist community members who lost electricity in their homes due to a winter storm.

  • WCU's Annual MLK Jr. Day of Service where volunteers made blankets for Fleece for Keeps, Chester County Hospital, and Nemours A. I. DuPont Children's Hospital.

  • Over 1,200 pounds of food was donated by West Chester University students and staff to the Chester County Food Bank and West Chester Food Cupboard.

  • Students spent a week on Alternative Spring Break in Philadelphia working on a community revitalization program through community arts, gardening, and youth mentoring.

Position Announcement: AmeriCorps PACC* VISTA Member
Applications are due Friday, May 1, 2015.
Join a vibrant campus and community partnership that aims to serve disadvantaged youth in West Chester. The PACC* VISTA will oversee the America Reads program, an academic enrichment program that increases youths’ exposure to the importance of education while building skills that help ensure academic success. Lead a 2015-2016 Alternative Break Trip!

We are currently accepting applications for Alternative Break Trip Leaders. If you are interested in leading a group of your peers on a community service trip during the 2015-2016 academic year, click here to apply!

Report Your Community Service Hours!
The Office of Service-Learning and Volunteer Programs tracks student volunteer hours across campus. We ask that all clubs, organizations, fraternities, sororities, athletic teams, and individual students fill out our Community Service Monthly Report Form so we can better publicize your hard work and commitment to serving others.

Scholarship for Outstanding Volunteers
Take a few minutes and nominate a friend for the Outstanding Public Service Award! Nominations are due by April 17, 2015.
