Each month Outstanding Volunteers and Outstanding Volunteer Projects are selected from nominations from the West Chester University campus community. Outstanding Student Volunteers are individuals who exhibit an on-going commitment to community service; while Outstanding Service Projects are community service projects that are coordinated by student clubs, organizations, or sports teams that show a deep commitment to our community.
Nominees for Outstanding Volunteer of the Month receive a certificate, pin, and their name on the composite plaque in the Sykes Student Union. The volunteer that is awarded Outstanding Volunteer of the Month is automatically entered for the $200 Volunteer Leadership Scholarship through the West Chester University Parent Fund that is awarded each fall and spring semester.
