The degree requirements
Level I Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program--Elementary
Education
This program is designed for students who did not major
in elementary education as an undergraduate. The program
consists of a coherent group of courses and field experiences
that are designed to help the students attain the competencies
required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for
Level I certification. Successful completion of the program
qualifies one for the K-6 Pennsylvania Instructional I certification.
Level I Certification Program requirements are determined
on an individual basis. Once a student is accepted into the
program, his/her transcripts are evaluated by the Graduate
Coordinator. The student will receive a checklist, which
includes those courses accepted as equivalent to the required
courses and those required to complete the individual student's
certification program.
For a list of required courses please contact Dr. Connie DiLucchio.
