Environmental Health Laboratory and Research Opportunities

Students in Environmental Health are actively involved in research and use state-of-the-art laboratory and field equipment to study complex environmental problems. The Environmental Health Laboratory, in the Sturzebecker Health Sciences Center, is equipped to analyze all types of water pollutants and air contaminants. As part of the senior seminar, students conduct original research and present professional posters at regional meetings. Recently, WCU students have presented award-winning research.

Faculty involve students with their research and bring upper division majors to local and national professional conferences. To keep costs low during a recent meeting in New Jersey, this group camped out along the shores of the Delaware River!
