Faculty opening in the Department of Health - Job# 16-141:

Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Health (Community Health)

Join a vibrant campus community at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, located in metropolitan Philadelphia region, whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student success. The Department of Health is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Health with expertise and experience in Community Health to join our undergraduate public health/health promotion program and CEPH-accredited Master of Public Health (MPH) program. This 9-month tenure-track position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The starting date will be August 2016.

Well-rounded ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses such as Foundations of Health Education, Preparation for Internship and Professional Practice Seminar, and Health Marketing and Communication, as well as graduate courses such as Social and Behavioral Aspects of Public Health and other community health courses as needed. Able to serve as undergraduate internship supervisor. Teach general health courses including but not limited to Dimensions of Wellness, Transcultural Health, and additional undergraduate public health/health promotion courses as needed.

Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Health (Health Care Management):

West Chester University of Pennsylvania, located in metropolitan Philadelphia region, Department of Health invites applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Health with expertise and experience in Health Care Management to join our undergraduate public health and CEPH accredited Master of Public Health (MPH) program. This 9-month tenure-track position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The starting date will be August 2016.

We are seeking applicants with well-rounded ability to teach a variety of graduate courses such as Health Care Financial Analysis and Management, Health Care Technology and Information Management, Health Economics, and others pertaining to health care management and health policy. Ability to teach general foundational courses in health, such as Introduction to Public Health and Dimensions of Wellness, at the undergraduate level.
