Session include some of the following activities: fine art, ceramics, jewelry, drama, and culinary arts. Barn at Spring Brook FarmThe Barn at Spring Brook Farm provides animal assisted activities for children with disabilities for the purpose of promoting enrichment, knowledge, confidence, self-esteem, and physical well-being. Miniature horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, a bunny and some baby ducks, in a fully handicapped accessible barn, are on hand to help fulfill the organization's mission. Volunteer hours are flexible and can attend for certain hours or days, or entire week to assist children. volunteers will assist kindergarten to 5th grade age groups with arts and crafts, water activities, and games.
Camp DreamcatcherCamp Dreamcatcher provides therapeutic service to children infected/affected by HIV/AIDS. The campers enjoy hiking, swimming, go-carts, mini golf, yoga, and massage. Location: office location: 617 W. South St., Kennett Square, PA 19348 Camp Dreamcatcher is held on the grounds of Camp Saginaw in Oxford, PA for one week in mid-August. Camp InventionCamp Invention program is a nationally recognized weeklong summer program for children in first through sixth grades. The camp provides enrichment programming in the fields of science, mathematics, history, and the arts. Local school districts host the summer camp programs and are led by local teachers. Colonial Pennsylvania PlantationThis is an 18th century living-history farm located in Ridley Creek State Park, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Location: Ridley Creek State Park, Media, PA 19063 Contact Information: Phone: 610-566-1725 Website: www.colonialplantation.org Community Service Activity: During the week, students interested in education or colonial history can work as guides in the education department at Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation by giving tours and workshops to area school children. The general hours of operation at the Colonial Plantation are Monday-Friday 9 am-2 pm (April through November), but reflect scheduled field trip times of visiting school children. On weekends, the site is open to families and visitors to experience the daily life of a colonial farm family living in southeastern Pennsylvania. Volunteers guide them through the house and grounds by performing "living history" and participating in the special events. The hours of operation on weekends are Saturday and Sunday 11 am-5 pm (April through November). Training is provided and period clothing is available on a daily basis.

Greener Partners Farm CampsGreener Partners Farm Camps allow children to opportunity to experience the "farm-to-table" cycle. Children will learn how to grow crops and prepare food using freshly harvested fruits and vegetables, as well as participate in nature hikes, science-based projects, arts and crafts, stories, and a variety of games. Philadelphia SpellsDuring the summer, Philadelphia Spells hosts a free 6-week writing camp for ages 7–13. SPARC Peer Mentoring ProgramSummer is a great time to serve as a peer mentor to an adolescent or young adult with autism through the Southeastern Pennsylvania Autism Resource Center (SPARC) which is affiliated with West Chester University. Contact information: Email: swood@wcufoundation.org Community Service Activities: Volunteers will assist and engaged with children in the program. This opportunity is purely social in nature and activities engaged in are of mutual interest to the mentor (WCU student) and the mentee (client). Volunteers are asked to attend at least once a week for at least a hour. This program is ongoing so SPARC is always looking for peer mentors every semester, including summer, fall, and spring. Volunteers are asked to be committed for one semester, but can continue past that semester if interested.
