 9th Annual Dr Patricia Grasty-Gaines Multicultural Leadership Awards Dinner

Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 5:30pm

Sykes Student Union Ballroom.

The honorees for this year are Professor Mit Joyner and the Honorable Judge Curtis Joyner. 

 

This award is set up in collaboration with the School of Education in memory of Dr Grasty Gaines (co-founder of Frederick Douglass Institute) to enhance opportunity for learning about our diverse intellectual heritage. The event is marked by a highly visible multicultural lecture and a fundraising activity for a Dr Patricia Grasty Gaines endowment fund. Previous speakers include Dr Madeleine Wing Adler (Former President of WCU), Dr Francine G. McNairy (President, Millersville), and Dr Walter J Tumbull (The Harlem Boys).
