The
Department of Anthropology and Sociology
at West Chester University believes that its students
benefit from being exposed to a wide range of subjects that are all
concerned, in some way, with the study of human belief and behavior
in society. To make knowledge gained in the classroom more meaningful,
students are involved in specialized projects, ranging from local
archaeological excavations to community organization internships. The
department also provides an international dimension that allows students
to take advantage of in-depth course work as well as structured overseas
trips under the guidance of department faculty
