Courses in Italian

We offer courses both semesters and summers for beginners (ITA 101 and 102) and intermediates (ITA201 and 202).

More advanced students can take courses at the 300 level, including ITA 301 and ITA 302 (Grammar and Conversation), ITA 321 (Culture), ITA 360 (Cinema), and after that, even more advanced courses: ITA 400 (Literature), ITA 400 Literature Survey, ITA 402 (20th Century lit), ITA 410, 411, 412, seminars.

We offer two Italian Culture Cluster courses in English:

  • EIT 360 (Italian Cinema) in the Spring
  • EIT 321 (Italian Civilization) in the Spring or Fall

Currently, we offer the minor in Italian: 6 courses (18 credits) beginning with ITA 101 or above.

We have an Italian club (Un club italiano) which organizes various activities: trips to the market, to museums, to the opera, dinners, etc.
