The Department of Psychology moved into new facilities in
Peoples Building in February, 1997. The department's building is equipped with
faculty and administrative offices, conference and seminar rooms, a multimedia
computer laboratory, human experimental laboratory, and an animal behavior and
behavioral neuroscience laboratory. Students also have access to the
University's academic computing center with over 300 PCs, which is just across
the street from the new Psychology building. A wide range of statistical
packages is available on many of the PCs. Multiple off-campus sites and programs
also provide educational opportunities for WCU psychology students, including
clinics and inpatient facilities, pharmaceutical research companies, animal
research facilities, and consulting/industrial organizations.
