Delaware Valley Geographical Association Fall and Spring Dinner Meetings
The DVGA includes persons interested in geography from 12-15 institutions of higher learning in the region as well as planning agencies, some K-12 schools, atlas companies and other organizations. The loosely defined Delaware Valley stretches from Kutztown and East Stroudsburg to Glassboro, NJ and from York, PA to Temple, University of Delaware, Rutgers Camden and beyond. Middle States Division, Association of American Geographers
The 2014 Annual Meeting will be hosted by York College of Pennsylvania in York, PA on October 24-25, 2014. Please visit the Middle States Division, AAG website for more details. The Geography Bowl is an annual competition which takes place at this meeting; top scorers receive some support to attend the AAG meeting in the spring, and compete there.
Pennsylvania Geographical Society
The Pennsylvania Geographical Society (PGS) is an organization that promotes geography and the use of geographical skills, encourages research in geography, and facilitates the exchange of ideas, methods and materials among geographers. The 2014 Annual Meeting of the PGS will take place in State College, PA on November 7-8.
Pennsylvania Planning Association (PPA) Annual Meeting
The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Planning Association, APA-PA, will hold their annual conference in Philadelphia, PA on October 12-14, 2014. Don't miss Pennsylvania's largest annual gathering of the planning profession.
Association of American Geographers (AAG) Annual Meeting
Professional conference for geographers. The annual meeting will be held in San Francisco, CA on March 29-April 2, 2016. Join fellow geographers, GIS specialists, environmental scientists, and other leaders for the latest in research and applications in geography, sustainability, and GIScience. Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP)
The ACSP is a consortium of university-based programs offering credentials in urban and regional planning. The 54th annual conference will be held in Philadelphia, PA on October 30-November 2, 2014.
