The undergraduate program offers students the knowledge, skills, and values consistent with success in a dynamic global community. Knowledgeable, accessible faculty members provide student-centered learning experiences. Faculty engage in scholarly activities related to teaching, their field, and/or community issues. The undergraduate degree program provides Pennsylvania businesses and non-profit organizations with employees who are able to:
* Critically analyze a business problem and develop a defensible solution;
* Use quantitative methods and technology to analyze business problems;
* Effectively communicate information of a business nature through written and oral presentation;
* Effectively interact with others as part of a team;
* Demonstrate an understanding of basic business concepts; and
* Understand the importance of ethical decision-making.
The Economics program seeks to develop communication skills, problem solving skills, technology skills, and an understanding of practical and theoretical concepts in Economics. Faculty members employ a variety of teaching methods to attain this mission. Graduates of the Economics program should be well prepared for a career in business and government or for the pursuit of graduate studies in a variety of fields.
