Alaska: RV Adventure of a Lifetime
    September 21-22, 2009
Presented by: John Holod and Jodie Ginter

Yes, John and Jodie are back to take us on a brand new trip through our 49th state. We always enjoy their expert camera work and spots of idiosyncratic humor. Highlights of this program include Alaska’s Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge, Watson Lake Sign Post Forest, and such quirky attractions as the Toad River Café, where thousands of hats hang from the ceiling, and the annual Moose Dropping Festival in Talkeetna. Come enjoy!

    Egypt: Of Pharaohs and Fables
    October 12-13, 2009
    Presented by: Sandy Mortimer

Egypt’s 5,000 years of human history is captured iconically by the great pyramids of Giza. Expert cinematographer Sandy Mortimer captures that rich past, and also the rich tapestry of present-day life on the streets. We’ll meet a variety of people-- a very modern Egyptian woman, a Bedouin. We’ll visit the Aswan High Dam, a traditional wedding, and a camel market. Join us for the fascinating ancient, and the still fascinating modern!

St. Vincent and the Grenadines: Caribbean Jewels
    October 26-27, 2009
    Presented by: Steve Gonser

What spectacular islands! St. Vincent offers unspoiled landscapes of brilliant flora, beautiful crystal clear waters, and lush mountains. The Grenadines are a collection of idyllic islands and deserted cays. Whether you are drawn to the dynamic mix of cultures, to pondering ancient petroglyphs, or to dolphin-watching, you will surely be enchanted by Steve Gonser’s fine program!

    Vietnam, Burma--Retrospective Insights
    November 16-17, 2009
    Presented by: Rick Ray

Film maker extraordinaire Rick Ray brings us two amazing countries as they were before and after Western contact changed their destinies forever. Before Americans were allowed travel there, in 1997, he was able to enter and capture unique images that remind us what was there on the eve of the advent of tourism, and we witness the arrival of the very first cruise ship after the Vietnam War. Come share this unusual opportunity!

Burma: Reflections on a Hidden Land
    February 15-16, 2010
Presented by: Patricia Keith and Sean Cassidy

The land once known as Burma is now today’s Myanmar but still is largely hidden behind the gold and silk curtain that tourists can peek around. Patricia Keith and Sean Cassidy take us behind the façade. We’ll go off the beaten path to see the ruins of Bagan, to visit an orphanage rebuilding after a typhoon, and to get up close in meeting some of the people. Come explore!

    Iran Then and Now
    March 1-2, 2010
    Presented by: Buddy Hatton

Persia, the exotic land of flying carpets and Arabian nights, is now Iran, a modern country of 69 million people. Through Buddy Hatton’s expert cinematography we explore Iran’s bustling bazaars, admire complex ornamentation of its mosques and palaces, discover its formidable archaeological sites, enjoy the quiet contemplation of a Persian garden, drive through imposing desert ruins, search for the famous Iranian caviar, and converse with the real people who call it home. What a unique experience!

Cruising Russia, St. Petersburg to Moscow
    March 15-16, 2010
    Presented by: Clint Denn

Join this spectacular voyage through the heart of Russia! Clint Denn’s fine camerawork takes us on scenic, historic Russian waterways, along the Neva, across two of Europe's largest lakes, Lake Ladoga and Lake Onega, down the Volga - Baltic Waterway. From the mega-views of modern skyscrapers to the personal visit in a Russian home for breakfast, we’ll have interesting peeks into the enchantment of this complex land! Come see!
