- Communicative Disorders Supplemental Application form. This form should be completed and included in a packet of information that you send to the Office of Graduate Studies (see address below). Click here to obtain a copy of the Supplemental Application form.
- Send all official academic transcripts from all institutions attended.
- Send GRE Scores: Please instruct the Educational Testing Service to send your official GRE Scores directly to the Office of Graduate Studies at West Chester University. Note: If you have completed a different master's degree from another accredited institution, you are not required to take the GRE. However, if you took the GRE exam previously, please submit the previous scores to WCU's Office of Graduate Studies. If the Educational Testing Service (ETS) is no longer able to send an official copy of your previous GRE scores to WCU, please make a copy of your own previous score report and send it to the Office of Graduate Studies.
- Submit two (2) letters of recommendation. We prefer to receive electronic letters, but we will also accept paper letters mailed to the office of graduate studies. A link to the electronic recommendation form will be sent to each recommender after the applicant has entered the name and e-mail address of each recommender into the applicant's on-line application form.
- Provide a 500-word Personal Statement describing your academic and professional goals. This statement should indicate how your experiences thus far have led you to these goals and how WCU will support you toward goal achievement. - Provide a Structured Vita with information prompted by the categories listed below. Click here to obtain important instructions for preparing the Structured Vita.

- Demonstrate an undergraduate background of at least 30 semester hours in the following areas of study: psychology, human development, linguistics, statistics, speech, and language development, phonetics, speech disorders, language disorders, hearing disorders, basic speech and hearing science, experienceand the neurology of speech and hearing. If an applicant has not completed a neurology course, s/he will have an opportunity to make it up during the graduate program. Other missing content areas will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Present undergraduate transcripts showing cumulative and major GPAs of no less than 3.0. If your undergraduate major is in an area other than Communicative Disorders, your cumulative GPA for your degree in this major will nevertheless be included in the analysis of your application for graduate studies. If you then completed a set of pre-SLP courses (also known as "bridge courses" or "pregraduate certification program courses") after you completed your undergraduate degree, these courses should be used to calculate your cumulative major GPA (as specified in the Supplemental Application Form).

- The Office of Graduate Studies have received all application materials no later than January 15th for an applicant to be considered for admission in the following fall semester.
