The summer is considered a "trailer" for packaging and awarding financial aid at WCU. A valid 2013-2014 FAFSA must be available to WCU and students must meet ALL of the eligibility requirements for Federal and State funding. Half time enrollment (6 credits) is required for most financial aid programs. Funding is limited.
Loans: The Summer 2014 Loan Request Application will be available in March of 2014 for the summer of 2014. Note: Submission of the application does not guarantee aid for the summer.
PA State Grants: PA undergraduate residents may be eligible for a summer state grant if enrolled for at least 6 credits over two summer sessions in a degree program. Apply at www.pheaa.org, beginning in mid-April.
Federal Work Study: Summer work study is available during the summer. Positions will be based on the availability of funding. Placement will be determined by department needs. The Application will be available in March.
TEACH Grant: The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides Summer Grants to eligible students. Information will be available in April.
