Chris Oluwole

Hey I’m Christopher Oluwole, I’m from North Philadelphia where I Graduated from Girard College High schooI . Girard college is a boarding school K-12 located in North Philadelphia, where I attended since 4th grade. I made some lifetime friends there and thought the student staff relationships where second to none. I attended another college for my freshman and sophomore years. West Chester has proven themselves to be the Ideal college for students who thrive better in smaller classes as well as those who find staff student relationships as important as I do.

I major in English here at WCU. A dream of mine is to start a foundation for underprivileged youth. I want to be able to provide the opportunities for youth to achieve their dreams without having the burden of finances to hold them back. This is something that was done for me by Girard College. I appreciate the doors that were open to me. I also appreciate the doors open to me by West Chester OMA. For example i was able to be one of the select few chosen to be an ambassador for the Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania program in the upcoming 2012-2013 school year. Being involved with the OMA has opened doors for me and has allowed me to meet some great people, as well as develop wonderful relationships. I am currently a peer mentor through the Office of Multicultural Affairs, my hats off to all those making a difference in the lives of others; there is no greater reward than helping others achieve their goals.
