Late First Year Student Orientation and Orientation Part 2


All incoming First Year Students are required
to attend WCU's two-part Orientation Program.


Part 1:
 The Late Orientation session will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008. 
All First Year students who did not already attend Orientation Part 1 in June/July must attend the Late Orientation session.  Please follow the link below to register for the Late session.  Check-in will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the lobby of Sykes Student Union. You will have your ID picture taken at this time and you will be given a meal pass to eat your lunch in the Lawrence Center Dining Hall.  The Late Orientation session will begin promptly at 1 p.m. in Sykes Student Union and the program will conclude at 4 p.m.  Free parking is available in Parking Lot K, behind Sykes Student Union.

Part 2:  Is a three-day Orientation Program that takes place in August prior to the beginning of classes; Friday, August 22nd - Sunday, August 24th.  Participation in Part 2 is required for all First Year Students.


On-campus students:  Check-in for Orientation Part 2 is from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. outside of Sykes Student Union (also 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Orientation Part 2 events on South Campus).  You will pick-up your ID card, meal bracelet, and your Welcome Back Packet and schedule at this time. 

Commuter students:  Commuter Survival Day and Orientation Part 2 check-in begins at 1 p.m. in the lobby of Sykes Student Union.  You will pick-up your ID card, meal bracelet, and your Welcome Back Packet and Commuter Survival Day schedule at this time. 

Fall athletes and marching band members:  Please follow the instructions above for on-campus students.

Students living on-campus will move into their Residence Hall room on Friday, August 22nd. Once August approaches, please see the Office of Residence Life and Housing Services web page at www.wcupa.edu/_SERVICES/stu.lif for more move-in related details.
