He may have a pirate's soul, but Philadelphia's iconic entrepreneur and motivational guru Pat Croce has found serenity through the practice of mindfulness. He will share this knowledge at a special discussion on Thursday, March 9, at West Chester University's Sykes Student Union Theater from 6 to 8 p.m.
In "The Secret to a Soulful Life of Peace, Joy, and Success," Croce will discuss how living in the moment helped him and increased his sense of well-being. To still the body and quiet the mind had such a profound impact on him, he seeks to share this experience with as many people as possible.
This is Croce's first visit back to campus since last fall, when he helped open the WCU Center for Contemplative Studies' new home at 700 South Church Street. The generous financial support from him and his wife, Diane, has so far allowed the center to bring in experts in mindfulness practices and create a Saturday series for the local community.
Tickets are $5 for students and $20 for the general public and may be purchased online through the Center for Contemplative Studies.
