In an effort to better serve you we have been updating the Audition Information section of the WCU School of Music webpage. Please peruse the School of Music Audition Information link which provides information on degree offerings, audition requirements, and the basic musicianship skills test. The two additional links provide sample aurals, written theory and sight singing examples for the basic musicianship test.
As the Undergraduate Coordinator, I am a resource contact person for all of the School of Music students as well as incoming and auditioning students. From your initial contact once you have been accepted by the university and receive an invitation from me to audition for the School of Music through your final clearance for graduation as you prepare to enter the workforce I am with you every step of the way! It is my job to counsel students through various degree program requirements, including transfer and processing of degree changes, and adding/dropping minors.
QUALITY, VALUE, and SUCCESS are the key points stressed by parents and students regarding the music degrees offered at WCU. The cooperative faculty, curriculum, state-of-the-art facility, performance opportunities, cultural events, community, proximity to Philadelphia, and the great campus atmosphere all contribute to a music education with depth, breadth and substance.
I believe the success of our program is best assessed by the plethora of opportunities our graduates enjoy which boast successful careers and continuing education at prestigious institutions.
I look forward to meeting you and learn working with you to help make your career goals a reality.
Please feel free to email me if you have questions.
Best,
Dr. Elizabeth Pfaffle
