ALL AUDITIONS ARE OPEN TO THE CAMPUS COMMUNITY!

All auditions for the 2009-2010 Season will be held in the Fall 2009 semester.

THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW
When:  Sept 2-3 at 6 p.m.  Callbacks: Fri, Sept 4
Where: Sign in table located in MW Adler Theatre lobby. Vocal auditions to be held in Gates Recital Hall, movement auditions to be held on MW Adler stage.
Performance Dates:Oct 23-31, 2009

E PLURIBUS UNUM - University Dance Co Concert
When
Sept 1 at 7 p.m.   Callbacks: Wed, Sept 2 at 7p.m.
Where:
Dance Studio, Sturzebecker, Rm 104
Performance Dates:
Dec 11-12, 2009

STUDENT WRITTEN ONE ACTS
When
Sept 15-16 at 7 p.m.
Where:
Anderson 104
Performance Dates:
Nov 19-21, 2009

LOVE'S FIRE and AS YOU LIKE IT
When
Nov 11-13 at 7 p.m.
Where:
Anderson 104
Performance Dates:
March 18-27, 2010; plays performed in repertory

Both productions are auditioning at the same time. Please sign up for audition times on bulletin board outside of Anderson 104. Wear comfortable clothes. You will be given info sheets to fill out along with a conflict schedule.

Len and Emily will BOTH be present for this initial audition
To prepare:

  • One minute Shakespeare Monologue
  • One minute Contemporary Monologue
  • Any of the already provided As You Like It Sides you would like to read (script in hand)-choose a character you’d like to read!
  • Please be prepared to sing a capella or play any instrument if asked
  • Non majors may present whatever they have prepared or read from sides
  • Please be dressed nicely and appropriately, introduce yourself and your pieces

Thursday, November 12  LOVE’S FIRE CALLBACKS
To Prepare:

  • Sides assigned from callback list
  • If asked to sing --please bring music in binder and sing 16-32 bars of a song that shows your vocal range.  Accompanist provided.
  • If asked to play and instrument please bring and have something short to play.
  • Please come in the same clothes you wore the previous evening.

Note: For this evening ONLY--You will not come in with scene partners to read, but rather read with a reader already in the room.  The reader will remain seated, however you are to keep eye contact with them and use them as your acting partner.
Friday, November 13  AS YOU LIKE IT CALLBACKS
To prepare:

  • Sides assigned from callback list
  • Anything else requested to prepare via the callback list.
  • Bring comfortable clothes as we might move.

UDC will hold a general information meeting in the dance studio on South Campus on Mon, Nov 16 at 6p. During this meeting, you'll meet the student choreographers, see what style they will be working on, get audition times for the week of Nov 30 and rehearsal times for the spring semester. If you cannot make this meeting or need more specific information, please contact Liz Staruch.
