The Department of Theatre and Dance at West Chester University is dedicated to the educational development of its students, preparing them to meet the challenges of our contemporary world. To achieve this goal, the department supports the cultural climate of the university campus and the community by staging a variety of productions that represents a broad spectrum of theatre genres. The department also encourages faculty and student development by supporting a variety of scholarly and creative activities.

 

Our Rising Star Days of 2014-2015 are now scheduled!
Rising Star Days offer a unique, behind the scenes view of the WCU Department of Theatre and Dance. These special days are open to rising juniors, seniors and community college students interesting in pursuing majors and minors within our department. All events include the following:

  • Attend the matinee performance
  • Light refreshments with current students and faculty
  • Special tour of our new facilities
  • Take a backstage tour and/or meet members of the show’s cast
