Campaign Overview
Announced in the spring of 2003, the Campaign for Excellence began as a five-year drive to raise $25 million to support WCU's Plan for Excellence. In addition to raising funds for important capital priorities - the Music Building and Performing Arts Center, Information Technology Center, and Undergraduate Business Center - resources are being sought to build scholarship and general endowment, launch new programs, renovate and equip facilities, and expand community and cultural outreach.
Reaching its original goal nearly a year ahead of schedule, University and WCU Foundation leadership approved extending the Campaign through 2012 and raising the goal to $35 million. The additional funds will help to complete fund raising for the Undergraduate Business Center (for more information about the UBC Campaign).
