PRESIDENT: Dan Moran (HPVII) is a senior from Levittown, PA majoring in Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science. In addition to his involvement with the Honors Student Association, Dan is a member of the Alchemist's Club, Pi Mu Epsilon, Darlington Biological Society, and the Anderson Math Club. He has served in the past as Fundraising Chair for HSA, Treasurer for Aid to South Africa, and he traveled with the Honors College to South Africa in 2006 and 2008 - two trips which he said helped shape him to be who he is today. Dan is ready to undertake his final year of undergraduate studies and hopes to see the Honors Student Association bring in more people from outside of its current core group and to spread its involvement even outside of the campus.


1st VICE PRESIDENT: Alyssa Conaway (HPVIII) is a third-year student from Downingtown, PA majoring in English with minors in American Studies and French. In the past, she has served as the HSA Secretary and Honors Orientation Student Coordinator. In addition to her involvement in HSA, she is currently the Executive Coordinator of Aid to South Africa, a Bonner Leader, and a LARC tutor. She also volunteers with the Care Center Foundation preschool and tutoring program, teaches private viola lessons, and plays in a community orchestra. Alyssa is excited about the chance to work with another great group of students and hopes to help HSA further develop its service, leadership, and involvement opportunities.


2nd VICE PRESIDENT: Cass Lowry (HPIX) is a sophomore from Phoenixville, PA, majoring in Elementary Education. In his first year with HSA Cass served in the Recruitment and Community Service committees. He spent his last year volunteering at the Coatesville Children’s Theater Program and the Care Center in West Chester. He is also a member of Contemporary Issues. Over the summer he had the opportunity to travel to South Africa with the Honors College and worked as a counselor at PA Governor’s School for Teaching in Millersville, PA.


SECRETARY: Katrina Smith (HPVIII) is a junior from Reading, PA majoring in Accounting. In addition her involvement with the Honors Student Association, she serves as the treasurer to the Women’s Water Polo Club, and is a member of the Sports Club Council. She also serves on committees for Aid to South Africa and has been involved with HSA committees for the past two years. Off campus, Katrina works as an Accounting Intern at Applied Card Systems in Glen Mills, PA. This year, Katrina looks forward to seeing HSA evolve and thrive as one of the most accomplished organizations on campus.


TREASURER: Ann Horner (HPVII) is a junior Political Science (International Relations) major from Lancaster, PA.  In addition to being involved in HSA, she is the Legislative Affairs Senator for Student Government Association, a Bonner Leader with a Staff Position in the Office of Service Learning and Volunteer Programs, and last semester ’s executive coordinator for the Honors College’s Aid to South Africa event. 


IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT: Andy McLaughlin (HPVII) is a senior from Canton, PA majoring in Music Performance (Voice). In addition to his involvement with the Honors Student Association, Andy has been a member of the Student Government Association, University Concert Choir, Bonner Leader Program, Aid to South Africa Logistics Team, Opera Theatre Ensemble, and Omicron Delta Kappa. He has served in the past as President, Treasurer, Social Committee Chair, and SGA Representative for HSA, and he traveled with the Honors College to South Africa in May, 2008. Andy is excited for the coming year and hopes to see the organization once again grow in its size, service opportunities, and campus-wide involvement.
