No, you only need to register your ResponseCard RF LCD once in an academic year no matter how many classes you are taking that use the clicker.
Make sure your card is set to the correct channel. ResponseCards are set to Channel 41 by default. It's easy to set the channel on the clickers.
1. Press the Channel button on the clickers.
2. While the light is flashing red and green enter the 2 digit code for the classroom provided by your instructor.
3. After the second digit is entered, press and release the Channel button.
Make sure you registered your ResponseCard's device id on the Web Registration site. Your device ID is the alphanumeric number below the barcode on the back of the card.
Only if there are multiple classes using clickers that are in close proximity of one another. The receiver has a range of 200 ft. The default channel on the Receiver is 41. 82 channels are available. Once the Receiver is set to a new channel, students in the session must set their clickers to the new channel. To change the channel on the Receiver: Click on the channel number tab below Receiver on the TurningPoint dashboard.
The receiver automatically receives software updates. You will be prompted to accept.
