In addition to providing technical guidance and management to the Technical Services Team, the Software Specialist provides the following services to the campus: |
Investigation, evaluation, designing and planning for the implementation and distribution of new hardware and software for the campus. |
Insures reliable program resources are available to the users of multiple computing platforms. Directly responsible for the reliable functioning of all supported desktop software and hardware for the University. |
Works with other areas within Information Services, such as Networking, Telecommunications, and Administrative Computing to troubleshoot problems and ensure that the computing needs of the campus community are met. |
Training of support personnel in the new techniques and methods involved with advancing technology.
