Whether you're new to D2L or an experienced user who would like to brush up and/or learn new skills, join us for D2L Summer Series training!
D2L training workshops are available to assist faculty and staff. They are scheduled each month through the Software Application Training (SAT) team.
If you cannot attend one of our scheduled workshops, D2L staff will provide individual or group sessions upon request. To request a session, email D2L@wcupa.edu or call us at 610-436-3350, option 2.
Did you know that there are additional tools integrated into West Chester's instance of Desire2Learn? These tools work in conjuction with D2L to assist with plagiarism detection, communication and audio visual needs.
Collaborate - Online rooms - BB Collaborate is a useful tool that allows faculty to schedule virtual 'real-time' classrooms. Online rooms can be utilized: when it is not possible to meet in an onsite classroom setting, to allow student groups to meet virtually and to hold virtual office hours or one-on-one meetings.
Kaltura - Video Streaming - Kaltura is a secure audio/video streaming service that is used to deliver high quality media to D2L.
Respondus - Respondus is a software tool that allows you to upload quizzes from a Word document format directly into D2L; rather than having to recreate the same exam in D2L.
Turnitin / Grademark - Turnitin checks student's dropbox submissions for potential plagiarism. The Originality Reports that are generated provide a summary of matching or highly similar text found in a submitted paper. Turnitin will search the web and all documents that have been submitted through the tool to check for originality.
The Desire2Learn Community site contains tutorials, training materials, and demonstration videos. A log-in is required. The user name and password are unique to the D2L Community. Please follow these steps to register:
