Vice President of Information Services

Mr. Adel Barimani, CIO and Interim Vice President for Information Services started in April 2008 as the interim Vice President for Information Services at West Chester University. For Several years prior to his current position as CIO, Mr. Barimani has been the Executive Director of Information Technology in the Information Services division with over 25 years of IT and IT management experience and years of experience as an adjunct faculty teaching Graduate management courses covering Information Technology trends and management, as well as computer science classes. Mr. Barimani has been representing West Chester University at the State System of Higher Education, internal and external Technology and related summits for over twenty years with broad understanding of campus mission and goals. Mr. Adel Barimani has been a long standing member of Educause and was a program committee member for the Mid-Atlantic Regional conference 2008.

Goals and aspirations for the Information Services division are based on the following principles: better technology support for academic, administrative, and student constituents; deploying new services with minimal disruption to the campus community and improvement of existing services by enhancing collaboration, and communication - to ensure faculty, staff and students are more involved in IT processes with strong objectives in achieving quality service and timely support and forming better relationships along with mentoring students. West Chester University’s IS staff works as a team to enhance IT services whenever possible. The goals and objectives outlined would not be achievable without them.
