Basic Searching

1. PILOT defaults to one of three search tabs: Search, Guided Search, Course Reserve
   
2. Click on one of the other tabs if you do not wish to use the current tab.
3. Choose a "Search By" alternative (or stay with the current alternative)
4. Type in a search in a "Search For" box. (On the Course Reserve tab select alternatives from the drop-down menus.)
5. Click or press the Enter Key.
6. You may set search limits before or after you search
7. Search results will be displayed as either
   • A single record
   • or a list of titles to browse
   • or a list of headings to browse
