Journal Title Search
- A Journal Title search looks at the titles of any serial publication
in the catalog. Serials include periodicals, magazines, journals,
newspapers, newsletters, annuals, and other publications that appear in
dated or numbered series.
- You can perform a journal title search on both the
Search Tab and the
Guided Search Tab
-
Type in a periodical title into the Search for: box.
- Omit articles ("the," "a") at the beginning of a title.
- For example, to find information about The Journal of the Royal
Anthropologlical Society, you might type:
journal of the royal anthropological society
-
Except for beginning articles (see above), do not omit words in a title sequence.
- For example: journal royal
anthropological would not result in a
successful search for The Journal of the Royal Anthropologlical
Society since "of the" was omitted.
- You do not have to capitalize any words in the title.
-
To truncate use ?
- For example:
anthro? finds anthropology, anthropologist,
anthropological
