West Chester University is located approximately 25 miles west of Philadelphia and 17 miles north of Wilmington, Delaware. The Francis Harvey Green (FHG) Library can be seen on the campus map at the intersection of Rosedale Avenue and S. High Street. The Presser Music Library is located in the Swope Music Building and Fine Arts Center which can also be seen on the campus map.
From Philadelphia: Rt. 3, West Chester Pike, leads directly into the borough from center city Philadelphia and becomes Gay Street. Continue on Gay until it meets High Street. Make a left onto High Street. Pass five traffic lights. The FHG Library is on the right, at the intersection of Rosedale Avenue and High Street.
From Western Pennsylvania (Pa. Turnpike): Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to old exit #23 (new exit #312), Downingtown. Follow signs for Rt. 100 south. Continue on Rt. 100 south which becomes High Street in the borough of West Chester. Stay on High Street. The FHG Library is on the right, at the intersection of Rosedale Avenue and S. High Street.
From the North (via I-95): Take I-95 south to Rt. 322 north. Take a left on US 1, then follow the continuation of 322 to the right a short distance later. Follow 322 to High Street, West Chester. The second traffic light is at the intersection of Rosedale Avenue and S. High Street. The FHG Library is on the left, across Rosedale Avenue.
From Delaware: Take Rt. 202 (Concord Pike) North (from the intersections of Rts. 1 and 202, it is approximately 7 miles to West Chester.) Follow Rt. 202 North and at the West Chester Holiday Inn proceed straight ahead under the overpass following the signs for the Business District, Rt. 322. Continue north on High Street until reaching the second traffic light at Rosedale Avenue. The FHG Library is on the left, across Rosedale Avenue.
Monday through Friday, daytime parking through 10:00 p.m. is available at the Sharpless Parking garage at the intersection of Sharpless Street and Church Street or New Street Parking garage. Hourly/daily rates apply. (For locations, see the campus map.) On-street metered parking along High Street and Rosedale Avenue is free after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and at all times on weekends. Visitors to the Libraries, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., may also obtain visitors’ parking permits from the WCU Department of Public Safety.
