Undergraduate Degree Completions

Apply online now for Fall 2014!

Applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis. As completed applications are received, they are reviewed, decisions made, and the applicants notified. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Prospective students are encouraged to apply now for Fall 2014.

B.S. Criminal Justice

The B.S. Criminal Justice is designed for students who completed a majority of their general education credits and some of the lower division core criminal justice classes and are interested in a professional degree in criminal justice. Our "Philly Finale" program enables students to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice by completing as few as 30 credits of upper division criminal justice courses. WCU's criminal justice program is one of the strongest in the region. Graduates of WCU’s criminal justice program go on to represent WCU in a variety of criminal justice positions ranging from police officers to victim advocates.

Tuition:

  • In-State Residents: $828 / 3-credit course
  • Out-of-State Residents: $2,070 / 3-credit course

B.S.W. Social Work

The BSW program in Philadelphia
Individuals wishing to pursue the BSW degree at the Philadelphia location must apply and be accepted as a West Chester University Student. Regular admission requires a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.5.
is designed for students that have completed the majority of their general education credits and are looking to complete the undergraduate social work degree (54-60 credits). Courses will be offered in the late afternoon and early evening, on a part-time basis. Students may be required to take courses at community colleges in order to finish any general education requirements not taught at the Philly site.

The BSW program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, and seeks to maintain the high standards required to remain accredited. Social work majors are prepared as entry-level generalist social workers upon graduation with a Bachelor's degree from West Chester University. The program seeks to teach students to work with all types of clients, viewing differences as strengths. It particularly emphasizes diversity and the unique contribution and potential of groups of people who have suffered from discrimination, oppression, or restricted opportunity.

BSN for the Registered Nurse (Coming in Fall, 2015)

The RN-BSN Fast Track is specially designed for licensed Registered Nurses to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. You must currently be a licensed Registered Nurse (or near graduation for an ADN program) to enroll in this program. The BSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) through 2019.

Registered Nurses wishing to pursue the BSN degree at the Philadelphia location must apply and be accepted as a West Chester University Student. Regular admission requires a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 for the RN-BSN program.
is designed for students that have completed the majority of their general education credits and are looking to complete the undergraduate nursing degree. Students need 120 credits to graduate with a BSN degree, 30 credits must be taken at WCU; 22 of these credits are required WCU nursing credits. Courses will be offered in evening, one night a week to accommodate the RN population, starting in the Fall of 2015.
