Conference Information
On May 15th and 16th, 2008, West Chester University
will be hosting a higher education conference titled: Resources
for the Electronic Classroom: A Faculty-Student Partnership (RECAP
2008).
The purpose of this two-day
conference is to offer West Chester University and other faculty
the opportunity to improve and enhance the classroom learning environment
through integrating
technology into their curriculum. This will be accomplished through
demonstrations and hands-on workshops using a variety of new technologies.
This conference
will include lectures and demonstrations of new educational technology
by faculty and guest speakers, a series of concurrent sessions
and
one-on-one development sessions.
RECAP 2007 was a successful conference, hosting over 175 participants.
Unlike other technology seminars, which merely present new technology
cursorily to passive onlookers, RECAP conferences offer extensive
hands-on training, through which faculty can experience actual classroom
applications.
