WCU is interested in your opinion and preference regarding the two options for the 2015 May Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies.

Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement: May 2015

Cap & Gown Ordering: Feb 9 - Mar 30

  • Beginning Monday, February 9th, order your cap and gown at oakhalli.com/colleges/wcupa
  • The deadline to submit your cap and gown order to ship to the WCU Bookstore is March 30, 2015.

Saturday, May 9, 2015: Undergraduate Commencement

  • 9:00am: College of Business & Public Affairs, Hollinger Fieldhouse - 3 tickets per student
  • 12:00pm: College of Education, Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall - 4 tickets per student
  • 4:00pm: College of Health Sciences, Hollinger Fieldhouse - 3 tickets per student

Handicapped Seating: Special tickets are not required for accessible seating. Handicapped entrance is to the right of the main entrance to Hollinger Field House and through the main entrances at Asplundh Concert Hall.

Doors Open: Doors to the commencement ceremony will open approximately ninety minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony.

The number of guest tickets is allotted to each graduating student attending commencement based on the number of graduates the Registrar expects for each ceremony and the available seats in the commencement location. The largest possible equal number of tickets will be assigned to each graduating student in an effort to be fair to everyone.

  • 7:00pm: Graduate Studies, Hollinger Field House, 4 tickets per student

Ticket Policy

As a graduating student of West Chester University, you don't need a ticket to participate in commencement, but tickets are required for your guests, including children three (3) years of age or older. There is no charge for the student's allotment of tickets and no additional tickets are available for purchase.

Tickets will be required for each ceremony. Tickets are color coded and are ceremony specific. Tickets for one ceremony will not be honored at other ceremonies.

Ticket and Cap/Gown Pickup for Undergraduate and Graduate Students: Apr 27 - May 8

BRING ID: Students must present their Ram Card ID at ticket pick up.
DON'T LOSE: Lost tickets will not be replaced.
DON'T COPY: Reproduced tickets will not be honored.
NO SALE: Commencement tickets are University property and the sale and/or copying of commencement tickets is strictly prohibited.

Undergraduate Students

Tickets for Undergraduate Commencement will be available for pick-up at the SSI Service Center, lower level Sykes Union during the following dates and times:

  • Monday, April 27th to Thursday, April 30th from 8:15AM to 6PM
  • Friday May 1st from 8:15AM to 4PM
  • Saturday May 2nd from 11AM to 3 PM
  • Monday May 4th to Thursday May 7th from 8:15AM to 6 PM and
  • Friday May 8th from 8:15AM to 2PM

Cap & Gown Pickup: Apr 27 - May 8
Caps and gowns will be available at the SSI Bookstore during the following dates and times:

  • Monday, April 27th to Thursday, April 30th from 8:15AM to 6PM,
  • Friday May 1st from 8:15AM to 4PM,
  • Saturday May 2nd from 11AM to 3 PM.
  • Monday May 4th to Thursday May 7th from 8:15AM to 6 PM and
  • Friday May 8th from 8:15AM to 2PM.

Graduate Students

Tickets and Caps/Gowns for the Graduate Commencement will be available in the Office of Graduate Studies, 102 W. Rosedale Avenue beginning Monday, April 27 at 9 a.m. and ending May 8 at 1 p.m.

Ticket Sharing and Exchanges for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Extra tickets for the commencement ceremonies are not available. Due to space limitations, we cannot offer additional tickets to graduates. Undergraduate and Graduate Degree candidates who will not need all of their commencement tickets are invited to share extras by posting on the WCU Commencement Ticket Exchange Facebook Group. Students in need of tickets may also post on this facebook group.

While we encourage students to share unneeded tickets, graduates and guests are advised that commencement tickets are University property and the sale and/or copying of commencement tickets is strictly prohibited.

Live Stream Video: No Tickets Required

Guests who do not receive tickets for the ceremony may choose to view the ceremony streaming live at: phxmediagroup.com/wcupa

The live stream will also be shown in Schmucker Science Center. Tickets will not be required at this location. Seating for guests is extremely limited and on a first come, first served basis.
